Founded in 2020, Driftless Marketplace was born out of a simple yet pressing need: the challenge of finding equipment when we had time for projects after work. We understood how vital flexible access to quality machinery can be for projects big and small, and we set out to create a solution.
At Driftless Marketplace, we pride ourselves on offering a versatile selection of machinery and attachments to meet the diverse needs of our community. Whether you’re tackling a large-scale project or a quick weekend task, our flexible hours for pickup or delivery are designed to fit seamlessly into your schedule.
As we grew, we recognized another opportunity to serve our clients. At the end of 2023, we had the opportunity to purchase Ness Pumping & Services tent, table, and chair rental portion of their business. This allowed us the opportunity to expand our business and provide these items which are perfect for weddings, events, and gatherings. Our first season in 2024 was a resounding success, and this side of our business continues to flourish as we bring the same dedication and attention to detail to event rentals as we do to equipment.

About Us - The Monson’s
Driftless Marketplace is a proud family-run business owned and operated by the Monsons. Dacia, a Decorah native, and Andrew, originally from central Iowa, met at Iowa State University and built their roots in the beautiful Driftless region. Together, they share a passion for hard work and community, which they aim to instill in their two young sons, Bennett and Everett.
As a family, the Monsons are committed to growing Driftless Marketplace while creating opportunities to teach their boys about the value of entrepreneurship and dedication. You might even spot Bennett and Everett lending a hand, making it truly a family affair!
Dacia takes charge of reservations and bookkeeping for Driftless Marketplace, balancing her role in the business with a thriving career as a real estate agent serving Northeast Iowa. Andrew, on the other hand, oversees the machinery, manages tent setups, and handles the physical labor that keeps the business running smoothly.
The Monsons are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support from their community.
